Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
Additionally when you create an account, make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
Types of information we collect may include:
If you choose not to provide information, we may not be able to provide you with requested products, services or information.
ClinAide asks for license numbers (dental, medical, etc.) for the sale of items requiring its provision (such as anesthetics). It is recommended to add this to your account prior to ordering to prevent any delays in delivery.
ClinAide gathers traffic patterns and site usage information to improve the design and layout of the site and personalize your shopping experience. None of this information can be used to determine the identity of any user.
Third-party automated collection and personalized advertising
ClinAide participates in personalized advertising. We use third-party advertising companies to display ads tailored to your individual interests based on how you browse and shop online. ClinAide adheres to the self-regulatory principles for personalized advertising.
We allow third-party companies to collect certain information when you visit our websites. This information is used to serve ads for ClinAide products when you visit this website or other websites. These companies use non-personally-identifiable information (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over, hardware/software information, cookie and session ID) and personally identifiable information (e.g., static IP address) during your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services likely to be of greater interest to you. These parties typically use a cookie, or other similar tracking technologies to collect this information.
User experience information
In order to improve your online shopping experiences, help with fraud identification and assist our customer relations representatives in resolving issues you may experience, we use tools to monitor certain user experience information; including login information, IP address, data regarding pages visited and ads clicked, specific actions taken on pages visited (e.g. information submitted in product searches) and browser information.
Social media ads
We may display targeted ads to you through social media platforms. These ads are sent to groups of people who share traits, such as likely commercial interests and demographics. For example, we may target customers who have expressed an interest in shopping for dental supplies. We do not share any of your personal information, including your shopping history, with social media platforms. See the policies of each social media platform for additional information about these types of ads.
Information from other sources
We collect data that’s publicly available. For example, information you submit in a public forum (e.g., a blog, chat room or social network) can be read, collected or used by us and others, and could be used to personalize your experience. You are responsible for the information you choose to submit in these instances.
We also obtain information provided by third parties. For instance, we obtain information from companies that can enhance our existing customer information to improve the accuracy and add to the information we have about our customers (e.g., adding address information).
This improves our ability to contact you and increases the relevance of our marketing by providing better product recommendations or special offers that may interest you.
How is your information used?
Examples of how we use the information we collect include:
How does ClinAide protect user information?
We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
An external PCI compliant payment gateway handles all CC transactions.
We use regular Malware Scanning.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
How do you access & update your personal information?
ClinAide.com gives you access to a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with the Site for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information.
If you have created a ClinAide.com account, you can log in to review and update your account information, including contact, billing, shipping, and licensing information.
What choices do you have?
As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it might be needed to make a purchase or to take advantage of such ClinAide features as Customer Reviews and Clinic Lists.
You can add or update certain information on pages such as those referenced above.
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
