Surgifoam is a sterile, water-insoluble, malleable, porcine gelatin absorbable sponge intended for hemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface.

• Indicated for hemostasis when control of bleeding by other conventional methods (pressure, ligature, etc.) is ineffective or impractical
• Liquefies within 2-5 days when applied to bleeding mucosal regions
• Absorbed completely within 4-6 weeks
